The Queensland IFMR Meet n Greet is being planed for the weekend of the 10th & 11th of April next.

At the moment, the event is planed to meet at GOMA, (Gallery of Modern Art) Stanley Place, South Brisbane.

I imagine you are aware that there is a motorcycle exhibition on display at the Gallery and this exhibit will close on the 19th of April, so this will be one of your last chances to be able to view it.

THE MOTORCYCLE DESIGN, ART, DESIRE

From all reports the display is quite spectacular and thought provoking when all the concepts are taken in concerning motorcycle design, featuring 100 innovative and influential motorcycles from the classics to the future.
This is an iconic vehicle from the perspective of social history, popular culture, design & technology.  See Www.qagoma.Qld.gov.au/
I believe it’s a must see event for anyone connected with Motorcycling so I am planning that our Qld IFMR 2021 meet n greet start at the GOMA on this day.

We will meet at 10 a.m. at the entrance to the Gallery (the opening time) and then continue from there. I have read that there is secure motorcycle parking “across the road” from the Gallery. After perusing the gallery we will head off on the group ride and evening gathering & overnight stay before another Sunday morning ride, farewells and heading for individual homes.

I am asking members whom intend to come along, to let me know and suggest to me an overnight stay location within a couple of hours of Brisbane outskirts (any direction), as I’m not a Queensland local so not all that familiar with locations around the Brisbane area, although if members cannot make any suggestions I have a couple “ up my sleeve”.
I will then make the necessary arrangements for accommodation etc. I will need to know numbers by the 30th March (at the latest) so this can be done.

Any members travelling from locations north of Gympie are welcome to stay overnight at my home and then travel the 170 k to Brisbane on the Saturday morning, please let me know if this is your intention.

I can be contacted by email Frank Hiscock : frankiescot@bigpond.com
Hope to hear from you ASAP.
